|1 Pedro 3:1| Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands, that if any obey not the Word, they also may be won without the word by the conduct of their wives

|1 Pedro 3:2| while they behold your chaste manner of living coupled with fear.

|1 Pedro 3:3| When adorning yourselves, let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing gold, or of putting on apparel;

|1 Pedro 3:4| but let it be the hidden man of the heart which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which in the sight of God is of great price.

|1 Pedro 3:5| For in this manner in olden times the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands,

|1 Pedro 3:6| even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord. Ye are her daughters as long as ye do well and are not afraid with any bewilderment.
